A Shepherdsville woman was killed in Bullitt County Saturday night after a head-on collision flipped her car into an embankment, according to Kentucky State Police.

Sarah Weisman, 27, died in the crash, which occurred around 7:34 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of KY 44 East and Watergate Drive near Mount Washington.

Early investigation shows a Toyota Tacoma, operated by a juvenile, was traveling westbound on KY 44 East when the passenger-side tires dropped off the right side of the roadway onto a steep shoulder, state police said.

The driver, who was not identified by police, overcorrected and the pickup truck crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane and into the path of a Ford Escape .

The two vehicles hit head-on and Weisman’s Ford Escape careened into a small embankment, landing on the roof.

The juvenile driving the Toyota Tacoma was not injured, according to the KSP.

The investigation is ongoing.
