Lexington police are asking for the public’s help identifying three suspects accused of lighting fires at one of Lexington’s newest parks.

Since Dec. 26, 2025, the Lexington Police Department has received multiple reports of damage at Cardinal Run Park North, near Parkers Mill Road. The park, which was the first large, regional park to be built in Lexington in more than 25 years, opened in October.

Most of the damage is from suspected arson. On Wednesday, Bluegrass Crime Stoppers released surveillance video that shows three suspects standing in front of a porta-potty that had been lit on fire near the playground.

The first report of damage was reported one day after Christmas by a worker who found a large metal pipe believed to have been used to break a window. Bluegrass Crime Stoppers said no suspect information was available at the time.

Several weeks later, on Feb. 17, park staff found a storage building damaged by suspected arson. Six days later, more arson damage was found at a maintenance building, restroom, playground, fencing and part of the park grounds, according to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.

The video of the suspected porta-potty arson was recorded at 9 a.m. March 7. Officials are asking anyone who may know the suspects or have information about the incidents to call Lexington police at 859-258-3600.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers by calling 859-253-2020 or by filling out an anonymous form online at www.bluegrasscrimestoppers.com.
