The chase began in Christian County after Elijah Boodoosingh, 30, of Hopkinsville, and James Stull, 39, of Covington, walked away from a work detail outside the Christian County jail, where they were incarcerated. Kentucky State Police said the inmates then carjacked a vehicle at the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree on South Madisonville Street in Crofton and fled a traffic stop near mile-marker 60 along the Western Kentucky Parkway.
Boodoosingh had been lodged at the Christian County jail since November after pleading guilty on charges of strangulation and intimidating a participant in a legal process, while Stull had been lodged at the jail since April 2025 after pleading guilty to theft and drug charges, according to Kentucky Department of Corrections records.

Stull, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with second-degree escape.
Boodoosingh was booked into the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, while Stull was returned to the Christian County jail. KSP said a second passenger was in the vehicle during the pursuit but was not charged.
