Lexington man arrested over online threats against President Trump, ICE agents
A Lexington man was arrested on federal charges after investigators found him posting politically violent threats against President Donald Trump, according to federal prosecutors.
Kadrioan Serainity Santiago, 23, was arrested and charged with threatening communication by the FBI for statements on Instagram between January and late March.
Santiago threatened to cut Trump’s face with a razor blade, pull his skin off and feed the skin to stray dogs, according to his criminal complaint.
Additionally, Santiago posted threats to kill the next member of law enforcement who interacted with him and encouraged others to shoot at ICE agents, court records say.
Santiago posted that he would kill ICE agents himself, according to the FBI’s complaint.
He said he was “filled with political violence.” He posted pictures where he posed with a series of guns, which he claimed were unregistered.
In 2023, Santiago was arrested at Berea College for possessing a “fully operable” M16, magazines and a bayonet attachment, court records show. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, though the charge was later amended down.
“Threatening violence against the President and federal law enforcement officers strike at the core of our nation’s safety and the rule of law,” said Jason Parman, a federal prosecutor. “These actions will not be tolerated and will be met with swift and decisive prosecution.
“Through the FBI’s diligence and swift action, we moved quickly to address this threat and will pursue prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”
