A Western Kentucky man has been arrested and charged with attempted fetal homicide after he allegedly swapped out medication for his pregnant girlfriend, according to Kentucky State Police.

On Monday, May 25, Kentucky State Police Post 3 was notified after a woman reported that her boyfriend, Abdullah Mohmand, 26, of Bowling Green, had swapped out a prescribed medication with unknown drugs.

The woman “advised that she was pregnant and had concerns for the safety of her unborn child,” police said.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Mohmand’s residence and found a match to the unknown drugs, according to state police.

Police didn’t provide more information about the drugs.

Mohmand is charged with attempted fetal homicide. He is being held in the Barren County Detention Center without a bond, according to jail records.

State police said the investigation is ongoing.
