Jury indicts man accused of killing Leestown Middle custodian
A man accused of killing his co-worker inside Leestown Middle School was indicted by a Fayette County grand jury Tuesday on murder and weapons charges.
Police say Brian Allen McGuire, 27, shot fellow custodian José Daniel Donato multiple times June 9. Donato died at the scene.
McGuire fled the school through the cafeteria, police say. McGuire turned himself in to Missouri authorities 30 hours after the shooting.
The grand jury indicted McGuire for murder and unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, a class D felony. McGuire is scheduled to be arraigned at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 27.
