While looking for fugitive, state police say they find stolen items

While searching for a fugitive who drove a stolen car through several back yards Monday, state police said they made another discovery: thousands of dollars in stolen items at a Nicholasville man's home.

Quentin Overstreet, 23, was arrested Wednesday after police found a stolen motorcycle, a stolen all-terrain vehicle and five stolen guns at his home on Arrowhead Drive, according to a news release.

Police found the items while searching for Paul David Brown, 31, who police say had stayed at Overstreet's house while on the run from authorities. Brown is wanted in Mercer, Garrard and Boyle counties.

On Monday, police found Brown sitting in a stolen Volkswagen Jetta in Nicholasville. Police say that when officers cornered him, he drove through several back yards and escaped.

Overstreet was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, five counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and one count each of defacing a firearm, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second degree possession of a controlled substance. Crack cocaine was found along with the stolen items, the release said.

Overstreet was lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center. State and Nicholasville police are still looking for Brown.
