Police find two youths 'possibly involved in a double homicide'

State police were investigating the deaths of a Metcalfe County couple Tuesday, and an Amber Alert was issued and later canceled for a teenage boy for whom they had been caring and a 12-year-old girl who also was missing for a time.

State Police Trooper Billy Gregory said Gary and Barbara Holloway, who lived at 248 Jimmy Hubbard Road in Edmonton, were found dead at the home by family members between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Gregory declined to say how the couple, whose names had not been released Tuesday night, might have died.

Police issued an Amber Alert for Kyra Shockley, 12, and Christopher Endicott, 15, who went missing from the home.

Shockley's parents had reported her missing late Monday or early Tuesday.

The alert was canceled after the children were found at 10:46 p.m. on Ky. 90 in Barren County. They were in a vehicle that had belonged to the Holloways. A firefighter noticed the car and called it in, Gregory said.

Gregory said the couple found dead had been awarded legal custody of Christopher in January.

The Amber Alert stated that Kyra and Christopher were "possibly involved in a double homicide," but the circumstances were unknown.
