Trial date for man accused of killing Lexington dermatologist

A trial date has been set for a man accused of shooting and killing a Lexington dermatologist in September.

Marty Lee Roe, 65, charged in the slaying of Dr. Martha Post, appeared before Judge James Ishmael on Friday in Fayette Circuit Court. The judge scheduled the trial for Jan. 22 to 31.

Roe will be tried on charges of murder, tampering with physical evidence and harassing communications. Post, 55, was fatally shot as she was leaving her Huguenard Drive practice Sept. 1.
