Man sentenced to life in prison in Russell County murder of pregnant pharmacist
A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a pregnant pharmacist who was out for a jog in Russell County, according to WKYT.
Christopher Allman pleaded guilty in April to the 2012 murder of Sarah Hart. Hart was attacked, raped and strangled on the way back to her car after a jog with her sister.
The prosecutor said that Allman was seen by as many as 50 people that morning, and he was the only one seen in that area of Hart's attack, according to WKYT. The prosecutor also revealed that Hart and her sister had seen him in that area before.
Besides murder, Allman was sentenced on a total of eight charges, including fetal homicide, kidnapping, robbery and rape. Allman will not be eligible for parole, WKYT reported.
