Construction will disrupt traffic at the intersection of Leestown Road and Greendale Road later this month, state officials say.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Greendale Road will be closed at Leestown starting at 8 a.m. June 16 through June 30.

The closure is required while a new intersection at Greendale and Leestown is being built, according to the state. It will shut down 24 hours per day for the June 16-30 period.

Motorists traveling Greendale Road will be able to access Leestown Road by taking Mercer Road to Westhampton Road, the transportation cabinet said.

The entrances to the Coca Cola plant and Federal Express on Greendale Road will remain open, officials said.
