Police update suspect descriptions in shootings at Austin City Saloon and on East Sixth Street

Lexington police held a news conference Friday morning to update the descriptions of three people involved in two of the five shootings last weekend.

Lt. Brian Maynard with robbery and homicide said the two men who approached ex-marine Jonathan Price and his wife, Megan, early Saturday morning outside Austin City Saloon are between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9, black and of average build. One of the men is medium- to dark-skinned with thick, shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was seen leaving Woodhill Shopping Center in a white T-shirt. The second man was wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a dark shirt with a six- to seven-inch script across the front.

Maynard said both men were armed. A brown wallet with a marine symbol and a teal purse were taken from the couple.

A third man, who is being sought in the shooting death of Charles Wright, is a thickly built black man who had thin, shoulder-length dreadlocks. The man was wearing a white T-shirt and checker-patterned shorts or pants. A motive in the murder of Wright is unknown, but a silver car with tinted windows is associated with Wright's death.

Wright was found in the street in front of his duplex at 154 East Sixth Street with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said they don't think there's any link between the shootings or the gunmen. Anyone with information is asked to call Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
