4 women shot at Lexington house; one has life-threatening injuries

Four women were injured in a shooting late Monday on Scottsdale Circle.

Lexington police Lt. Clayton Roberts said at least one of the women had life-threatening injuries.

Three of the women were taken from a house at 457 Scottsdale Circle to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital by ambulance, and a fourth arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle.

No information about possible suspects was available.

Roberts said police received multiple calls about shots fired at 10:39 p.m., and some people reported hearing up to 15 shots.

Police had blocked off the area around Scottsdale Circle and were allowing only residents to enter.

"There's a lot of confusion," Roberts said. "We're still trying to figure out where the shots came from."

Just after midnight, Roberts said police did not know whether the women were residents of the home. He also did not know whether they were inside or outside the house when the shooting occurred.

"It's a fairly complex scene," he said.

Scottsdale Circle is between Hollow Creek Road and Asbury Lane off of Russell Cave Road.

Roberts asked that anyone with information call Lexington police.
