Knox County man shot Saturday night dies at Tennessee hospital

A man who was shot Saturday in Knox County died Monday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

State police say Jason Marsee of Barbourville shot Ford Collett of Barbourville once just before midnight on Saturday.

Collett had gone to Marsee's home at 322 Turner Loop Road in Barbourville, and an altercation ensued, according to a news release.

Marsee was arrested at the scene on an unrelated warrant.

State police said Marsee has not been charged in the shooting, and the case will be presented to a Knox County grand jury.

An autopsy was scheduled at the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort.
