Woman arrives at hospital with gunshot wound after string of shootings in Lexington

A woman showed up at Central Baptist Hospital about 1 a.m. Wednesday, about an hour and a half after she was shot in the leg on Hollow Creek Road, Lexington police said.

The woman, whose injury was considered minor, told police she knew who shot her, Sgt. Ann Welch said.

The shooting was because of an argument and was not related to two nearby shootings: one atNew Circle Road and Russell Cave Road, and one on La Salle Road, Welch said.
