Four people were arrested in Laurel County on Wednesday and charged with drug trafficking and other offenses.
A detective saw a vehicle leave a “known drug location,” according to a news release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
The man driving the vehicle fled when the detective tried to pull the vehicle over, but police found the vehicle nearby, police said. The driver had three passengers, two of whom fled on foot.
All four in the vehicle were arrested off of Slate Lick Road about 4:25 p.m., police said. They each were charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.

In addition, the driver, Roy Higgins, 38, of London was charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, police said.
One passenger, Jonathan Segraves, 28, of London had a felony warrant out for his arrest, police said.
Segraves is accused of trying to run from police and ingesting about half an ounce of crystal methamphetamine, police said. He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London and will be taken into police custody upon release.
Segraves and fellow passenger Brittany Thompson-Sherrill, 28, of Corbin were charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police.
Another passenger, Ashley Medley, 28, of London also was charged with second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.
The people in the vehicle are all accused of conspiring to sell the methamphetamine to a fifth person, police said.
