Lexington police have arrested and charged a man in connection with the burglaries of two restaurants.

William James Griffith, 35, was arrested Friday after police received a tip identifying a possible suspect.

Griffith was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary.

He was arrested in connection with the Dec. 4 burglary of Captain D’s at 245 West New Circle Road and the Dec. 3 burglary of Zaxby’s at 531 West New Circle Road.

Both restaurants had video security systems that captured images which assisted in the investigations, police said. Detectives continue to investigate similar cases that might be related.
