Lexington police on Friday made an arrest in the 2014 homicide of Kierra N. Johnson, 18, who was identified at the time as Kierra Green.
Allen Burgess, 22, was charged in connection with the murder of Kierra Johnson. Burgess was served with the murder warrant at the Bourbon County Jail Friday where he is an inmate on an unrelated matter.
On June 30, 2014, at 10:39 p.m. officers were summoned to 457 Scottsdale Circle in response to several calls of shots being fired in the area. Officers were directed to four women who had been shot. One of them, now identified as Kierra N. Johnson, died on July 1, 2014 of her injuries at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center
Additional charges may be pending, police officials said Friday.

The death was the city's 10th homicide of the year at that point. That shooting at a house on Scottsdale Circle was one of several shootings around that time that incited fear among the community and prompted police and city officials to hold a series of news conferences to reassure the public.
