Man charged with murder in dispatcher's stabbing at Owsley County home
A man has been charged with murder in a stabbing at an Owsley County home Friday night, according to Kentucky State Police Trooper Robert Purdy.
Dustin Sparks, 25, of Clay County, was at a home on Fairgrounds Road in Owsley County when he allegedly fatally stabbed Benjamin T. Brewer, 28, of Beattyville, following an argument. Sparks was taken to Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville.
Brewer, who died at the scene, was a Madison County 911 dispatcher, Purdy said.
Police were called to the home just after 10:30 p.m. Friday.
