Police find Jessamine jail inmate who walked away from work detail
A Jessamine County jail inmate who walked away from a work detail Friday was found just before 8 p.m. Friday, Kentucky State Police said.
Shortly before 1 p.m., Chad L. Dodson, 25, of Payneville walked away from the work detail on U.S. 27 south of Nicholasville, state police said in a release.
He was charged with second-degree escape after being found and returned to the detention center.
Several agencies including state police, the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office and Lexington police searched for Dodson.
He was serving a sentence for theft by unlawful taking.
