A man was killed Wednesday in a crash in Knox County, and a woman has been charged with murder and driving under the influence.
Melissa Warren, 36, of Walker in Knox County, was westbound on Ky. 718 when the pickup truck she was driving crossed the center line on a curve, according to Kentucky State Police. The pickup went off the road, hit a guardrail and a tree, and flipped.
The passenger, Ryan J. Baker, 20, of Flat Lick, died at the scene, according to police.
Warren was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to police. She was then taken to the Knox County jail.

Warren also was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, having open alcohol containers in a vehicle, failing to wear a seat belt, not having a driver’s license and failing to produce proof of insurance, according to the jail’s website.
The crash remains under investigation.
