Police: Christmas Eve car thief thwarted in London
A would-be car thief was caught in the act on Thursday. At around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, a homeowner on Slate Lick Road outside London caught a London man trying to steal his 2004 Chevrolet pickup, according to the Laurel County sheriff’s department.
When officers arrived, they found the homeowner and Curtis B. Brewer, who had been prevented from leaving, police said. Brewer, 37, was charged with burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, along with other charges relating to an outstanding warrant, police said.
