A Garrard County man has been charged with the sodomy and sexual abuse of his cousin in Lexington, according to Fayette County court records.
Jonathan Christopher Cook, 21, of Lancaster was arrested and charged Dec. 30 with two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, district court records say.
Cook admitted the allegations to police, a uniform citation says. In at least one instance, Cook had sex with the girl when she was younger than 12 years old, the citation said.
Cook was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center, where he remains in lieu of a $25,000 cash bond.
