State police investigate Floyd shooting woman, her boyfriend and her ex

Kentucky State Police are investigating a domestic disturbance involving a woman, her boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend that led to the shooting of one of the men Saturday in Floyd County .

Police were called to a home on Old Country Road in Harold about 7 p.m.

Police said in a written release that Eric Edmonds drove to Leslie Cooley’s home with intent to cause harm. They said Edmonds ignored requests from Cooley and Stan Lee to leave was shot by Lee. Leslie Cooley told police that Lee was her boyfriend and that Edmonds was her ex.

Edmonds was taken to the Pikeville Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries, police said. Police did not release the ages of Edmonds or Lee or their hometowns.

No charges have been filed, but the case will be presented to a grand jury, police said Sunday.
