Man arrested in robbery of Lexington Thorntons
A man was arrested Thursday and charged in Monday’s robbery of the Thorntons gas station on Woodhill Drive.
Robert T. Abner, 25, is charged with first-degree robbery, according to Lexington police. He is accused of demanding money from cashiers at the gas station while armed with a knife.
The robbery occurred about 7 a.m. Monday, police said. The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash after cashiers complied with his demands.
