A man was arrested Thursday after a woman arrived at a Franklin County fire station with second-degree burns from an altercation.
Gayle Abrams, 53, was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Kentucky State Police.
After the woman sought help at the fire station and said Abrams caused her injuries, Kentucky State Police said they and Franklin County sheriff’s deputies began to look for him.
Abrams was not located despite an extensive search that included a helicopter, according to state police. He later turned himself in at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, authorities said.
