Crime of the Week
A brazen robbery of the Dollar General at 1421 Leestown Road on Dec. 19 is this week’s Crime of the Week. Just before noon, a man entered the store and “casually walked around without making any attempt to cover or conceal his face,” police say. The man made a small purchase, then told the clerk he wanted to return it. As the cash register’s drawer opened, the man pulled out a boxcutter-style knife. He then helped himself to to the cash in the drawer and fled.
Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward leading to the solving of this crime.
Suspect of the Week
This week’s Suspect of the Week is Ryan Tee Slone, 21, wanted on a charge of receiving stolen property over $10,000. Police said he failed to appear for trial. Slone is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds.
Anyone with information that could lead to the apprehension of Slone is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020 or toll-free at 1-877-970-2020. To place a free call on your AT&T cellphone, press *2020.
