Two horses found in bad shape in Morgan County

Two horses were found abandoned and in poor health in Morgan County on Tuesday.

State police were called to Ky. 364 at 11:08 a.m. after someone reported that the horses had been abandoned.

A veterinarian was called to the scene after the horses were found in poor health, state police said.

Criminal charges are pending, and the horses are being placed with Morgan County Animal Rescue, state police said.
