Lexington police seeking driver who nearly killed pedestrian

Lexington police are asking for the public’s help as they look for a driver who investigators believe hit and nearly killed a pedestrian Sunday before driving away.

Police were called to La Flame Alley between Hillcrest Avenue and East Seventh Street at 2:38 a.m. Sunday. They found a 46-year-old man with life-threatening injuries lying in the alley behind buildings on the 900 block of Winchester Road.

At this point, there is no information on a potential suspect or vehicle description, so police are asking anyone with information to call the collision reconstruction unit at 859-258-3679.
