Police seeking juvenile in Palomar Centre shooting case
Police are looking for a juvenile who is being charged with first-degree assault in relation to a shooting at Palomar Centre on Thursday.
Tre’von M. Warren, 19, was shot in the leg just after 2 p.m. and was driven in a private vehicle to a local hospital, according to Lexington police. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Warren was cited with third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
The 17-year-old is also being charged with first-degree robbery. Police said they believe the shooting occurred during a narcotics-related robbery.
The man who drove Warren to the hospital, Jeremy M. Skidmoore, 18, was also cited with third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Both Warren and Skidmoore had several Xanax pills, police said.
