Money, guns and drugs seized in Bell, Harlan counties

Money, guns and drugs were seized Thursday as Kentucky State Police executed search warrants as part of a months-long investigation into marijuana trafficking.

Appalachia Narcotics Investigation Unit officers searched K&J Grab and Bag in the Tacky Town area of Harlan County, state police said in a news release.

Simultaneously, a homein the Walls End area of Pineville was searched. The money, guns and drugs were seized from both places.

The Appalachia Narcotics Investigation Unit is a multi-agency unit of narcotics detectives from the state police, Harlan and Bell County sheriff’s offices, and the Pineville Police Department.

State police said the investigation is continuing.
