Police investigate shootout on North Limestone Street

Police were investigating an incident in which two groups of people fired shots at each other at Progress Market at 600 North Limestone Street.

Sgt. Jeff Hyer said one group was inside the market, and when they came out the others began shooting at them.

He said there were at least four people involved.

Police were not aware of any injuries in the shooting, which occurred at about 7:43 p.m. Police had vague descriptions of vehicles that might have been involved, Hyer said.
