A Fleming County man is accused of punching and stabbing his stepfather, Kentucky State Police said.
Matthew Werthwine, 37, of Flemingsburg was arrested Wednesday on charges of first-degree assault and other offenses.
During a fight Wednesday morning, police said, Werthwine punched his stepfather, Kenneth Price, 70, and stabbed him twice in the abdomen.
Werthwine then fled in his vehicle but wrecked it on Wolf Run Road, state police said.
Price was treated at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead and was released.
