Kentucky State Police investigating deaths of two in Owsley
A Booneville woman was located and detained Friday for questioning after the bodies of a man and woman were found in an Owsley County house, Kentucky State Police said.
Lynette McQuinn, 48, was found shortly before 3 p.m., said Trooper Josh Brashears. Police had been looking for her as a “person of interest,” he said. Brashears would not say where McQuinn was found and whether she was related to the deceased.
State police had been looking for McQuinn in the hours after the bodies were found in a modest brick house on Wilson Lane outside Booneville, the Owsley County seat. McQuinn was believed to have been armed, Brashears said.
The identities of the dead couple had not been released, Brashears said. “They did have gunshot wounds,” he said.
State police received a call shortly before 11:30 a.m. Friday from a family member of the deceased, he said.
