One shot, two arrested after argument outside Madison County home
Two people were arrested Sunday after a man was shot outside a home on Waco Loop Road in Madison County.
Anthony Thacker, 32, of Beattyville was shot after an argument, Kentucky State Police said. The severity of his injuries was unclear, but as of 8 p.m. he was not listed at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, where he was taken for treatment.
William C. Arvin, 29, of Berea was charged with first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, state police said. Arvin left the scene of the shooting and was found a few hours later at an apartment on Keystone Drive, authorities said.
Arvin was also charged with 12 counts of contempt of court, various driving infractions including 2nd degree fleeing/evading police in a motor vehicle, no motorcycle license and failing to maintain insurance as well as a drug paraphernalia charge, according to the jail’s website Monday.
Bryan C. Moore, 29, of Beattyville was charged with tampering with physical evidence, state police said. He is accused of moving a gun owned by Thacker and hiding it in a truck, state police said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
