A Lexington man is accused of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl, injuring her, recording a sexual performance with her and then text messaging that video to one of his friends.

Malik Deandre Kenney, 18, was arrested Thursday by Lexington police and charged with kidnapping a minor, fourth-degree assault, promoting a sexual performance by a minor and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

The record says Kenney restrained the girl, then pushed, strangled, punched and kicked her, causing her to have visible bruising on her face, neck, abdomen and calves.

Kenney also allegedly possessed multiple videos that depicted sexual performances of the victim.

Kenney remained in the Fayette County jail Friday in lieu of a $28,000 cash bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District Court later in the day.
