Man accused in South Broadway shooting arrested in Versailles
A man accused of being involved in a shooting on South Broadway has been arrested, Lexington police said.
Leslie Parson, 30, was arrested in Versailles on Wednesday afternoon as a result of collaboration between Lexington police and U.S. Marshals.
Warrants for assault and possession of a handgun by a felon were issued for Parson’s arrest on June 2.
On May 29, officers responding on South Broadway found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head in the parking lot of a shopping center just after 2:30 a.m. Officers performed CPR.
Police spokeswoman Brenna Angel said the victim remains in the hospital. Parson was lodged at the Fayette County Detention Center.
