The driver in a crash outside Morganfield that killed 16-year-old Kaci Wood of Sebree was arrested Wednesday night by Kentucky State Police.
Maxwell McMain, 19, of Morganfield, was arrested at his home after being released from the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, according to state police. He has been charged with six counts, including murder, kidnapping (death of victim), driving under the influence, and driving on a DUI suspended license.
McMain was lodged in the Union County Detention Center in Morganfield on a $1 million bond.
Police said McCain was driving a Dodge Durango on Ky. 492 with Woods and Jacob Hood, 20, of Morganfield, just after 2 a.m. Sunday when the crash occurred. McCain lost control of the vehicle, which overturned several times.

Woods and McCain, who were not wearing their seat belts, were thrown from the vehicle while Hood, who was wearing a seat belt, was uninjured.
