Three suspects invade home on Anniston Drive Thursday morning
Early Thursday morning, three people invaded a Lexington home.
Lexington Police spokeswoman Brenna Angel said police responded to a reported burglary in a home in the 500 block of Anniston Drive about 3 a.m. Thursday.
A woman, man and their 19-year-old grandson were in the home when two men and a woman forced their way in through the back door, Angel said. The burglars then tied up the home’s occupants and asked the 19-year-old where money was in the home.
The victims told police the female suspect had a handgun and one of the male suspects had a baseball bat. The 19-year-old fought with suspects and has minor face injuries, Angel said. The grandson yelled for help out of a window. The three suspects fled the scene.
Angel said the investigation is ongoing.
