Lexington police are trying to identify three suspects involved in robberies and one shooting this week.

Witness descriptions and evidence led investigators to believe that the same suspects were involved in multiple crimes early Thursday.

The victim of a robbery and shooting in the 800 block of Malabu Drive told police that three men in masks approached him around 4:49 a.m., shot him in the leg and stole his cellphone and wallet.

At 4:54 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a Speedway at 515 Euclid Avenue where a store clerk reported two men displaying handguns demanded cash from the register. Officers then responded to another Speedway at 900 Winchester Road at 5:02 a.m. where another store clerk reported the same occurrence with two male suspects.

Police were dispatched again at 5:27 a.m. to an armed robbery at the Waffle House at 5548 Athens-Boonesboro Road. Employees told officers two men entered restaurant brandishing handguns and demanding money.

Cash was taken from all three businesses before the suspects fled on foot.

Police said the three suspects are males, in their late teens or early twenties. They wore hooded shirts and bandannas or masks over their faces.
