Police are asking for your help to catch a man who robbed a Thorntons gas station. If you have information about either the Crime of the Week or the Suspect of the Week, do not try to take action on your own. Crime of the Week

This week’s Crime of the Week is the robbery of a Thorntons gas station at 1120 Winchester Road. Just after 1 a.m. June 27, a black man dressed in a white button-down shirt, a white hat and black pants entered the store. Armed with a handgun, he ordered the clerk to give him cash from the register. After receiving the cash, the robber ordered the clerk to lie on the floor and count to 60.

Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the solving of this crime.

Suspect of the Week

This week’s Suspect of the Week is James W. Bell, who is wanted on a charge of first-degree robbery. He is 39 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 240 pounds.
