Jail administrator accused of trafficking synthetic drugs to inmates
An administrator in Crittenden County has been jailed on charges of trafficking drugs to inmates.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Marion County City Manager Mark Bryant was trafficking synthetic drugs to inmates on work release. Bryant oversaw the work release program, according to state police.
Bryant also tampered with shipping labels on postal packages to cover up the trafficking, police said. Bryant has been charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence. All are felonies.
The investigation is ongoing. Bryant was lodged at the Crittenden County Detention Center.
