Richmond man killed in one-car accident

A Richmond man was killed in a one-car crash in Madison County on Sunday.

Kentucky State Police said that Douglas Tackett, 39, of Richmond was driving west on Ky. 52 near Waco when he lost control of his Dodge Caravan. The van crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic, hit a guardrail and overturned several times. Tackett was ejected from the van. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Tackett was not wearing a seatbelt, said Kentucky State Police, who will continue to investigate.
