Lexington police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who pulled a switcheroo at Farmer’s Jewelry last week.

The woman went to the Euclid Avenue store at about 2 p.m. July 29 and asked to see several necklaces, police said.

Before an employee noticed what she had done, the woman had taken off her own necklace and switched it out for a white gold rope chain valued at $995, then left the store.
