Woman found dead outside Lexington apartment building

Lexington police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found early Sunday outside an apartment building at 1000 Cross Keys Road, near Alexandria Drive.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fayette County coroner, who had not released her identity or the cause of death as of Sunday afternoon.

No arrests had been made by that time. Police ask that anyone with information about the woman’s death call detectives at 859-258-3600.
