Two more suspects wanted in Lee County murder

Kentucky State Police are looking for two more suspects in a homicide investigation in Lee County.

State police are looking for Jay N. Shoemaker, 39, and Raign D. Griffin, 22, both of Beattyville. Police said Shoemaker and Griffin were involved in the murder of Billy Roark, 27, of Beattyville, in Lee County.

Roark’s body was found Friday morning, state police said. A second man, James R. Brown, 36, of Beattyville, was found dead Saturday morning in Lee County. Police think the men were shot Thursday evening but in different incidents.

In connection with both men’s murders, state police have arrested Wesley T. Johnson, 22, of Irvine; Kevin F. Kendell, 32, of Beattyville; Anthony T. Taylor, 42, of Beattyville; and Kasandra K. White, 23, of Beattyville on charges of complicity to murder. White and Taylor have also been charged with murder.
