Monroe County man charged with child sexual exploitation

A Monroe County man has been charged with sexually exploiting a child.

James L. Holland Jr., 61, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of distribution and one count of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor, according to state police. More charges are expected.

The state police said its Electronic Crime Branch began an undercover internet crimes against children investigation after the branch found Holland “sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.”

Equipment was seized from Holland’s home during the execution of a search warrant Thursday.

Holland was being held in the Monroe County Correctional Center.
