Man arrested, charged with murder after body found in Green River
A man was arrested Friday and charged with murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in Green River in July.
Clark W. Smith, 53, of Cave City is charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse in the death of Kristen Edwards, 22, of Barren County, according to Kentucky State Police.
A fisher found Edwards’ dismembered body floating in a container in Green River near Johnson Springs Road on July 23, according to state police.
Smith is being held in the Barren County jail. The case remains under investigation.
