Lexington teen is arrested in June 10 shooting in Laurel County
On Wednesday, a third suspect was arrested in connection with the June 10 robbery and shooting of a man in Laurel County, the sheriff’s spokesman there said.
A 17-year-old Lexington boy was charged with attempted murder, robbery, theft and tampering with evidence, said public affairs officer Gilbert Acciardo.
The teen was lodged in a juvenile detention center in Breathitt County, Acciardo said.
Trey Hedrick, 20, was robbed and shot once in the hip June 10 off Taylor Bridge Road, about 5 miles south of London.
Later in June, Deontae Williams, 19, of Lexington, and a 16-year-old girl, a runaway from London, were arrested in Lexington on charges of attempted murder, robbery, theft of a firearm, and theft under $500.
In an earlier release, the sheriff’s office said the 16-year-old had entered Hedrick’s home followed by two men who assaulted Hedrick and shot him with a .22-caliber pistol. They stole the gun and Hedrick’s wallet and then left in a white 2000 Cadillac.
