Ten highest, lowest performing Kentucky elementary, middle, high schools
The schools that performed well on the newly released 2017 state achievement tests had the most students scoring at high levels, called proficient or distinguished, in math, reading or social studies. Immediately below, you’ll find the district, school and percentages of students scoring at the top levels of proficient and distinguished.
The schools that struggled on state achievement tests had high percentages of students scoring at the lowest level, called novice, in math, reading and social studies. Those schools, including their districts, are listed below along with the percentages of students whose scores put them in that novice category.
The data was released Thursday by the Kentucky Department of Education.
